Jaguar F-Type V8 S.
This little hell-cat gets its power from a supercharged 5.0 liter V8, which is good for 495 hp and 460 ft./lbs. torque, which propels the 3,500 lb. car to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds and then on to a top speed of 186.
What does this ode to power sound like coming out of the quad exhaust? Well, have a listen.
The convertible top, of course, helps the occupants enjoy the bark and burble of the engine, but the acoustic pleasures aren’t the only ones to be found in the new Jag. The interior, with its clean lines and rich appointments (including bronzed start/stop button and shifter paddles), is deserving of both the price tag (which is ample) and the brand’s pedigree.
This car is, quite simply, lovely. Jaguar have acquitted themselves well, and the F-Type can safely join the C, D, and E Types as the best and most beautiful that the company have offered the world.
